King’s Lynn to Walsingham

Together with the Norwich to Walsingham (37 miles) and Great Yarmouth to Norwich legs (38 miles) this soon to be launched, 29 mile, waymarked route is undergoing rigorous testing. Crossing the heart of Norfolk from the wetlands of the Broads National Park to Norfolk Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it follows the river valleys of chalk-fed streams which are rich wildlife corridors.

At the 3 terminal points are 3 great Norman churches founded by Herbert de Losinga,  Norwich Cathedral and the minster churches of Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn; but that’s not all – Norwich, the city Mother Julian called home, also boasts the Cathedral Church of St. John’s, the seat of the Bishops of East Anglia; and further on, pilgrims can explore the site of the former cathedral at North Elmham.
