Connecting to the Norfolk Trails Network

In the golden past many pilgrims arrived by sea at Norfolk’s north coast ports – Blakeney, Wells, Brancaster, Burnham and Lynn. Today’s pilgrims can walk the same paths arriving from Sheringham Station and all stops to Wells by the Coast Hopper buses and by Coast Liner buses from King’s Lynn Station.

Plans are in hand to develop a modern safe walking route from King’s Lynn to Walsingham. In the meantime pilgrims can connect with the extensive Norfolk Trails Network via Wells-next-the-Sea at the heart of Norfolk’s Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty using this 5.5 mile route :-

In turn Norfolk Trails connect with Long Distance Paths from further afield including the Fen Rivers Way from Cambridge via Ely; and the Peddars Way from the south.
